Lasey Fund Application for Assistance

Unfortunately, pets whose owners cannot provide proof of assistance will not be eligible for discounted services. Please note that temporary disabilities and unemployment do not qualify.


In addition to those who qualify under the criteria listed above, applications may also be considered for extraordinary, life-saving procedures. These cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, a written request must be submitted. If the request is compelling, the Executive Director will present it to the Lasey Fund Committee for review.


The Lasey Fund

The Little Guild’s Lasey’s Fund provides financial assistance for veterinary care to eligible Litchfield County residents. Our goal is to ensure your pet receives the medical care they need, including preventative care, dental care, and specialty surgeries. To qualify for reduced fees, applicants must meet specific financial criteria and provide proof of participation in an approved assistance program. In exceptional cases involving life-saving procedures, additional support may be granted through a case-by-case review by the Lasey Fund Committee.

The Mission of The Little Guild

Strengthening the loving bonds between people and pets in our communities. 

The Little Guild is dedicated to rescuing and nurturing homeless dogs and cats for adoption into safe and caring homes. To improve well-being, we also provide educational programs and training, as well as medical, food and social services support to pet owners in need.
