Pets for adoption

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! We are in need of weekday volunteers. If you are looking for something to do morning hours, we have a job for you!! Mon-Fri from 9-12, we need cat room cleaners. This consist of litter boxes, sweeping, mopping and laundry. Friday starting at 9 a.m. we are in need of kennel cleanings assistants. This will consist of helping the staff hose and mop out all kennels. The amount of time is based off the number of dogs we currently have in house. If you are interested, please call the shelter and ask for Liz.	. Eclair-female - 7 years, 7 months Corgi mix - 60 lbs. Despite my age I can still keep up with the best of them! I am really affectionate and would love nothing more than a lap to lay my head in. I am very good with other dogs as well as cats and kids. I do have a few medical needs that you should be aware of, however I think that they're minor! I am diabetic but currently not receiving insulin. However I do have to stay on my special food which is Beneful Weight Control, the doctor thinks that's what's making my sugar so good. I have no vision in my right eye and a cataract in my left, but don't worry, this doesn't hold me back!! Please ask for more information about me, I am truly wonderful!!
Charlie - Male - 5 years Lab mix - 63.2 lbs. Charlie is my name and playing is my game! I would make the perfect hiking partner for someone who is young and active like me!! I am dog tolerant and think that kitties are chase toys. I probably shouldn't live with one then….oh well, could’ve been fun. I do not like sharing my babies with anyone, so the people in charge here do not want me to live with young children, ages 13 and up for me. I am really a sweet and snuggly boy and would just love to go home. Please call and ask about me, I truly am worth the effort. By the way, if it helps, I am super smart and learn quickly, just thought you may like to know that. UPDATE So, I just learned that there is this game called "fetch" that is ALOT of fun!!! Who knew that sharing my ball with the girls here could produce such enjoyment?! I love to chase and bring it right back, I could play for hours!!	*I WENT HOME!!* Sawyer is a 4 year old, male Yellow Labrador Retriever and he is the life of the party. This big guy is quite active and wants nothing more than a hiking buddy and someone who will throw a tennis ball for as long as their arm will permit. Sawyer gets along well with most other dogs but isn't a big fan of the felines, so a home without cats is best. Sawyer is very family oriented so kids are great in his eyes. If you have an active family and are looking for a great companion then look no further.
Annie - Female - 9 years Beagle - 27.8 lbs. Let me start by saying I may be older but I have so much more life to live! My perfect day consists of breakfast followed by an invigorating walk. A light snack would be greatly appreciated afterwards and then some lap time with lots of head scratching. We can enjoy a fulfilling dinner and curl up on the couch to watch television. Doesn't that sound perfect? I can share my home with cats and dogs but would do best with older children. Don't get me wrong, I love to spend time with kids however I'm not always good about my food and sometimes young children just do not understand that. I'm not very big and promise not to take up too much room. Please come in to meet me, hopefully I'll see you soon.	I WENT HOME!! Mike - Male - 5 years Cattle Dog mix - 55.1 lbs. My name is Mike and I am fantastic!! I am cat, dog, and children friendly. I enjoy attention but will not demand it from you. I do have a few minor issues you should be aware of. First, I have hip displaysia, right now I'm taking rimadyl but will only need it when necessary, I am also being treated for Lyme disease. Second, I am on a special diet, I have allergies and need to eat Z/D food only. You can buy it from your vet's office and I'm only one dog so it won't cost much! I have no possession problems and will walk away when you go near my bowl. I have no problem being hugged or pulled on and enjoy a deep tissue massage after dinner! My friends at the Shelter have one thing to say, “Everyone wants to be like Mike!”.
I WENT HOME ROMEO is a 10 month old, male Chow Mix. This silly boy has a great personality and quite possibly the softest fur you will ever feel. Romeo is quite the lover boy and will certainly steal your heart once you meet him face to face. This guy gets along well with other dogs and loves children and he can try to live with cats but he may drive them a little crazy. Romeo is well mannered but he could certainly benefit from basic obedience training to perfect his basic commands. If you always wanted a living, breathing teddy bear, this is your boy.	I WENT HOME!! Creme Brulee - Female - 5 years Yellow Lab - 72.8 lbs. My name is Crème Brulee and I am a sweet round girl!! I'm currently on a diet and trying my best to lose my excess weight. It's hard you know, the food here is just so good. I enjoy bouncing around the fenced yard and dishing out my kisses!! Cats are fine with me however I do not like the other dogs. I am currently being treated with doxycycline because I have lyme disease. I think kids ages 5 and above would be best for me. Come in and meet me, my fur is so soft!!
The Hawaiian Puppies! We're All Adopted!!! These 10 week old puppies are currently receiving their puppy vaccines and temperament evaluations, so they cannot interact with the public before April 12th. They are Pit Bull mixes and consist of 5 females and 3 males. There are 2 black and white, 2 brindle and white, 1 black and brindle, 1 all black, 1 dark gray, and 1 fawn. No applications can be accepted prior to April 12th.	I WENT HOME!! Bubba - male - 5 years Chow mix - 68.9 lbs. Hello! My name is Bubba and I am a Chow mix. I am 5 years old and act like I’m much younger! I enjoy running around the fenced yard and playing keep away with the staff here!! Don’t worry they always laugh with me so I assume they’re having fun too. I like other dogs and don’t mind the kitty cats either. Children are alright but I would prefer to live with someone over the age of seven. I do need a few minutes to warm up to someone new, but I love to make friends. Come in and meet me, you will not be sorry!
I WENT HOME!! Ravioli-Male - 7 years Border Collie/Corgi mix - 42.7 lbs. My name is Ravioli and I am Awesome!! They call me the “lone wolf” around here because I am quite content to hang on my own. I do love having my head and ears scratched but I’m not going to demand it. I am incredible on leash, and get along with cats and dogs. I enjoy laying around in the snow and just being cool. I have a slight heart murmur, but that’s not a problem for me! As much as I hate to admit this, I’m also great for baths. Nothing really bothers me, I’m pretty low key.
